I prefer to call it: Boy Falling out of an airplane with a camera strapped to his head.

Headfirst at 200 mph, naturally, followed by some course correction trick before parachute deployment and a landing that's right on the money (or maybe napkins left over from lunch work just as well).

As I understand it, considering we have the dork v. jock language barrier to overcome.

I'd love to experience it, but I'm like litte Miss Spastic Fantastic & I'm not thinking about going out like that.

A Fistful of EARTH - Battlestar Galactica vs. Planet of the Apes

The entire series of BSG has been dedicated to the humans' search for Earth.

A premonition, a cylon refrain that has haunted the series, "All this has happened before and all this will happen again."

Expecting the idyllic vision of EDEN, the realization of HOPE that's kept us all hanging on, I should have known that BSG would go to that dark place and destroy anything they make me love.

The mid-season finale leads us to Earth & the final scene ushers in a flashback:

" You blew it up. Damn you, God damn you all to Hell." 

That was my reaction.

On the other hand, the BSG gang is immobilized by shock & despair, unable to comprehend to situation, and unable to pull off the full blown Charlton Heston histrionics that were taking place center stage in my living room.
